Q. Can I install these switches myself?
A. No, switch requires installation by a licensed electrician.
Q.What does a smart light switch do?
A. Replace conventional in-wall switch that needs to be manually turn on and off. Smart light switch can be controlled via mobile app using WiFi or voice command.
Q. Are these switches for outdoor use?
A. These can be installed outdoors, however ensure that they are protected from exposure to direct sunlight and water.
Q. Are other Witron devices required to use the switch?
A. No, no other device required.
Q. Can I control the switch via, Alexa or Google Assistant?
A. Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant is supported. Apple Home-Kit and Siri voice commands is under development.
Q. Will the switch work if my internet connection is disabled?
A. The lights can be operated by the touch sensitive panel, however for control using the app an internet connection is required.
Q. Can I dim my lights via the switch?
A. No, you'd need to purchase the dimmer switch for use with dimmable lights.
Q: Can I use the switch to control other smart devices (including smart lights)?
A: Yes, as long as you are using them with a traditional switch.
Q. Can my Witron smart switch work with 5Ghz WiFi routers?
A. No, the smart switch will only work on the 2.4Ghz WiFi band. Most home routers that support 5Ghz should also support 2.4Ghz.
Q. Does the Witron smart switch support 2-way control?
A. These switches work 2-way and multi-way. Standard wiring of switches. You can also set associations through the app and touch to operate together and independently.
Q. Can I set a button to control another light in another room?
A. Yes - as long as the existing switch wires to the same point, you can control lights in another room
Q. Can I set a delay from the Switch to turn the lights off?
A. Yes, automation triggers and scenes can be set through the app.
